My name is Sarah Jean Malapo-Gargar, 31 years old and currently residing in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.
My BPO journey started in 2015, I was hired as a Customer Service Representative/Billing Support at Teleperformance (formerly Intelenet Global), handling a Retail account. The account is more on crafting materials which is also aired on television in the US. Customers call in to place an order, track and inquire about the specific products. It was a life changing experience when I was awarded the “call of fame” every month or whenever I got the top rank. Sometimes we answered email about their concern regarding charges and payment issues. I was there for almost 2 years.
After I was hired at Concentrix (formerly Convergys) as Customer Service Representative/Billing Support handling a Vehicle Service Account for 1 year and 1 month (January 2018 - March 2019). This is the account where I enjoyed a lot talking to our customers about their vehicles and other stuff regarding the services we are providing.
Lastly, I was hired by Telus International as Technical Support handling AOL email accounts. We are dealing with customer’s email issues such as 3rd party apps, not receiving emails, servers,etc. We troubleshoot technical issues depending on their devices. Upselling is part of the job, we must identify the needs to customers so we could recommend the best product for their devices. It’s a quite difficult task especially if you are not a tech-savvy person or not familiar with the properties. I just ended my employment with them last September this year as I decided to look for a work-from-home job.
