The increasing risk of cyber crime to accounting professionals.

The recent 'WannaCry' ransomware attack affected more than 60,000 computers worldwide, including in Australia. Despite the increasing regularity of such attacks, many practitioners remain unprepared or unaware of just how easy it is for a criminal to penetrate their network and access their files and clients’ data.

The Tax Institute and Accountancy Insurance are offering a complimentary one-hour lunchtime webinar on 1 June 2017 to help practitioners understand the current state of cyber crime in Australia, learn about the most common threats and find out what you can do to decrease the risk in your firm.

Drawing from real case studies and credible statistics, Associate Director of Professional Risks at Accountancy Insurance Karen McDonald will impart her knowledge and expertise in the field of cyber crime. IT specialists, Zynet, will also provide a simulation hack in this webinar to demonstrate just how easy it is for cyber criminals to gain access to your systems.

Register for this webinar, taking place at 1230pm on 1 June 2017 by completing this form.

An email confirmation will be sent to you shortly with joining instructions.
