VBCCO Community Action Award
The Community Action Award is presented to communities that have demonstrated exemplary service or innovation in their efforts to better serve their residents. Examples include development of programs, recruitment of new members, increasing member participation or volunteerism, promoting community spirit, or otherwise improving the community.

  • Awards are only available to groups which are members of the VBCCO in good standing. If you choose "Other" you will be forwarded to information regarding joining VBCCO after you complete the form and a representative will follow up with you. If you have questions, you can also contact awards@vbcco.org

  • An optional photo of your Organization in Action may be uploaded. Any photo uploaded may be used for promotional purposes and the action of uploading indicates consent for such use.

  • Your Civic Organization is now in the running for the VBCCO Community Action Award. Tell us why you should be the neighborhood of the year. You may upload a prepared statement about your group or please take a few moments to answer some or all of the questions below.

  • None of these questions are required and they are only suggestions. If you have a story to tell about your recipient, you may tell it in the boxes below no matter what the question is asking.
  • You may upload a prepared document about your award recipient We will accept MS Word, Adobe PDF or Text files.

  • When your submission is complete, please choose "No" click on the SUBMIT button below. The person listed as the Organization POC will receive email confirmation that you submission has been received. (Please check spam or junk mail folders) If you don't get a confirmation email or have other questions please contact awards@vbcco.org.
  • Choose yes and click SUBMIT if you would like to enter another award recipient. You will be taken back to the beginning of the application.

  • Banquet attendance is not included and must be purchased separately. All VBCCO member organizations in good standing are eligible to submit volunteers for awards.

  • We look forward to seeing you at the 2012 VBCCO Awards Banquet on March 23, 2012 at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center. Once you have submitted your award application, you will be automatically redirected to the Banquet site where you can purchase tickets. Thanks again for helping make Virginia Beach Great!
