I started my insurance career in 1999 as a Marketing Assistant handling non-life insurance coverage of corporate and individual clients until 2007. For seven years in the non-life industry, I attended to insurance requirements of clients aiming customer satisfaction. My tasks included regular review of clients’ program in preparation for renewal and the evaluation of insured risk including their business operations. Part of my commitment was to regularly visit them making sure the queries & issues were well attended to.

Aside from client communication, I also handled insurance companies. I discussed and negotiated insurance rates with them, followed up on necessary documents, and prepared Warranties/Clauses which were deemed necessary for the client’s policy. Basically, my role was to intermediate between the client and the insurance provider. I was manager of Winternitz’s Cebu Branch before I decided to switch my career into the life insurance industry.

In 2008, I joined Winebrenner as an Employee Benefit Specialist and became the team’s supervisor a few months later. I was committed to 24/7 customer service during my stay with the company. I handled group insurance for medical, life & personal accident for corporate clients. Part of my functions were to review insurance programs 2 months prior to renewal, provide market survey and a comparative review. I set up meetings with them to provide them my suggestions on whether to switch insurance providers or retain the existing. I arranged mobile Annual Physical Exams (APE) and even those individuals for walk-in APEs in clinic near them. For claims processing, I screened documents before forwarding to insurance provider and also ensure that claim checks arrived on the scheduled turn-around time (TAT).

For almost 16 years as in insurance specialist, customer satisfaction had been my number one priority.
