Prior to the Book Fair, Ali McCart of Indigo Editing will be presenting a workshop at APU entitled The New World of Publishing: Navigating the Options. The publishing industry is changing, and authors are taking note. Traditional publishing seems easy and promises fame and fortune. But is all that true? Meanwhile, print-on-demand technology, ebooks, and the rise of online bookstores have made self-publishing an alluring process to many. But is it right for you? This class offers authors insight into the risks and rewards of each publishing path. It is specifically designed to give authors a clear picture of what each process involves and tips for determining which path is best for you and your book.

Registration for members of Alaska Writers Guild and 49 Writers is $35. Non-member registration fee is $50. If you'd like to sign up, please check the box below and the Alaska Writers Guild with contact you with registration details.
