"I started working back in 2007 and had only ever worked in the BPO industry. A novice with zero experience and didn’t even know what customer service really meant. I handled US based telco and credit card companies as a Customer Service Representative. Fast forward to 2021, I am still in the same industry because I enjoy conversing with people, getting to know a little about them, and finding out what I can do to help make their day better. This role is complex, requires skills, critical and analytical thinking and, I did not always have those competencies, especially at the beginning of my career. However, I learned about the growth mindset and how having one helped in staying motivated to continuously get better. To this day, I still challenge myself to learn by experience through customer interactions and self training. As this industry continues to evolve, to find ways to improve customer experience, with the addition of CSAT and NPS, I have to constantly make sure to adapt to the changes and challenges that come with this role.
Here are some personal attributes that I believe make me suitable for this position.
● Work ethic: I have always believed that skills can be improved and honed, but
character is more important as this is what makes a person. I take pride in my integrity
and work ethic as doing the right thing has helped me navigate through my corporate
journey.
● Accountability: I will not just be an employee, I will become a partner in the business,
thinking of ways on how to improve myself and become invaluable to the organization.
● Motivation: As this is a remote job, my being highly self-motivated is going to help me
stay focused on my tasks and in meeting my goals in order to contribute to the team.
These are just some of the characteristics I can bring into the role. And I look forward to
discussing my application with you at an interview."
