"Hi, I am Michaela Jacinto and I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interior design in 2018. In the duration of my four academic years, I have been a part of a team who represented my school in an inter-school interior design competition called Obra Maestra, bagging the first place by designing a Cambodia-inspired dining room. That’s when I first experienced handling a project from start to finish—from conceptualizing, space planning, sourcing, decorating, up to constructing the actual booth.

After graduation, I interned for an interior design firm that later on invited me to work for the company with a full time position. From day one, my role was to design 2D and 3D spaces of residential projects, as well as specify finishes and furniture. Each residential project has differing themes, such as tropical, contemporary and mid-century modern. That helped me in identifying how to design spaces depending on the theme it needs, as well as styling it depending on what furniture and/or accessory is best suited for it.

For my second and most recent job, my role was to design a space through the use of mood boards and then sourcing for the specific furniture and accessory for it. This is when I learned to visualize a space without using a 3D modeller, but still be able to evoke the vibe it should have for the clients.

With my educational background and experience, I believe I am right for the job. I know how to identify between furniture pieces as well as interior themes/styles. If you have any more questions regarding my qualifications, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to speaking with you soon."
