"I am Liza Grace A. Barbasan and I have been in the BPO industry for approximately three years now. I have been a technical support and customer service representative for various accounts such as Comcast and Frontier which are both cable and internet providers, wherein we assist customers in terms of activating their devices for their services to be up and running, and lastly T-Mobile, a telecommunications company in which we handle billing concerns and process sales for services upgrade.
Being in the said industry, I have learned the importance of profiling the type of customers that you will be assisting with on a daily basis because there are customers who are elder, aggravated or just simply passive, that’s why it is so essential to have patience and to actively listen in order to provide clear instructions and best customer service.
Finally, it taught me a lot of skills that I can definitely execute in being a Virtual Assistant; one must be self-sufficient, wherein someone can work with less supervision and someone who is reliable even if no one is watching. I firmly believe that these set of skills are really important most especially for the said post because you will be working single-handedly, but of course, you are required to be at your best in able to provide great results."
