"I worked in the BPO Industry for almost 5 years as a sales representative. We do Inbound and Outbound Sales, Appointment Setting, Live transfer, Telemarketing and Lead generation. And I already dialed certain verticals in sales. We’re selling products, insurances and offering services using solid arguments to prospective customers, also performing cost-benefit analysis of existing and potential customers. My 5 years experience in a call center has taught me a great deal about dealing with customers. Honed my ability to manage conflict and deal with some irate individuals and polished my communication skills.
I’ve been working from home for more than a year now as a sales representative, customer service and virtual assistant in different businesses. I have already been through different businesses, like in sales, customer service, expo, and B2B or business to Business verticals. When I started to work from home I now have a better work-life balance, I don’t have to deal with traffic anymore and it’s a big help for me to start saving money. I am now happy and contented to work from home, I don’t have any plans to go back to a call center anymore.
The most related work experience that I have in your field of business is my recent job in one of the Moving companies in Canada. I worked as a customer service for their company. I’m receiving inbound calls most of the time and do outbound calls to do follow-up and assisting those customers who are willing to move out from one house to another. We’re offering Movers and a truck depending if how many bedrooms they have to move. I am setting an appointment using the company’s CRM, I’m also stating prices if how much their move cost. Sometimes there are some customers who need to move out but their drop off location or house is not yet ready, they’re asking me to book and move them to a storage unit. We have a storage partner company, so what I’m actually doing is that I’m calling our storage partner and giving all details of the customer if how big the move is to be stored in the storage unit and then book the storage on behalf of the customer.
Unfortunately my recent job at the moving company decided to stop the service due to the effect of COVID-19, a lot of people are afraid to move because of the situation resulting in not getting more appointments, sometimes I only received 1 call per day and there’s also a day that I haven’t receive any calls. Just to make everything clear the company didn't stop itself, they have a lot of franchisers in different locations in Canada, but my employer who franchised the moving service business to the Calgary location decided to do so."
