"I’ve worked as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) in a BPO company for 5 years. I’ve handled multiple accounts such as sales, technical and customer service. Our main product is about phones (android or IOS). We offer phone services, hotspot and even home phones. We’re dealing with customers from the US over the phone.
Actually, that was my first job . Being a CSR takes a whole lot of patience and understanding. You cannot avoid talking to an irate customer since we will be assisting with people having different personalities, behaviors and points of view. You have to keep in mind that they’re not mad at you, they are just frustrated with the service or maybe they’re having a bad day or other personal reasons. It makes me happy and overwhelmed every time I would be able to resolve the customer’s issue especially when they are irate at the start of the call and even a simple “Thank You” means so much to me.
Hardwork, perseverance and strong determination were the things that I learned from my work experience and also the things that I can apply in my everyday life. You should also love your work and do your part to achieve the company’s goal. “Growth and retention”, that was the goal of the BPO company I’ve worked before. Everybody has a goal. During this global situation that’s happening right now, having a good job is my main goal."
