"I am Kris Andrew Omolon, a Physical Therapy graduate and I worked as a Customer Service Representative in a BPO company doing both email and phone support in dental insurance for two years. I was an insurance claims specialist and I also tried working as a dental billing specialist for a short span of time. I am experienced in reviewing a client's claim in order to determine insurance coverage under a policy and to assess the amount the insurance company should settle. I believe that I have gained enough knowledge in providing the best customer support and delighting each customer.
In my work, I assist providers inquiry on patient's dental insurance coverage and always mindful of HIPAA. I verify dental benefits and history for patients by calling insurance companies and obtaining a breakdown of benefits, coverage, frequency, of selected procedures. I am responsible for daily submissions, follow up, and troubleshooting of insurance claims. I also gather data and arrange them on file. After each email or call responded I make sure everything is documented and forward them to my supervisor. As a biller, I learned to process patient’s billing inquiries as per received information including collecting payment, verifying patient coverage eligibility, contacting insurance companies about claims and collecting outstanding balances."
