"I have been working since 2012, a total of almost 9 years of experience and I have been with different industries which made me the career person that I am today. I started as Outbound Telesales Agent for a TV shopping company whose in the history of ASC was the first agent to hit her quota on her first day of going on live in taking in calls. As an Outbound sales rep for TV shop, my main responsibility is to introduce our newest products to our previous customers. With this experience, I learned the principle of making sure the mastery of product knowledge. I learned that the best way to first convince a client is to show them that you know what you are doing and saying.
In that role, I learned to be very creative about ways of closing a deal, it also boosts up my confidence that in every situation helped me to become accountable for my actions, decide calmly and with the right mind. My first job contributed to my way making to be a sales coach for my second job experience. I started as a Technical Support Professional with Convergys because I was an Information Technology graduate and because of my previous experience as an Outbound sales rep, I have always been the top performer of the whole account in terms of the sales metric. So after 6 months of being a Tech support, I was offered a promotion of either be a Team Lead for another wave of newbies or a Sales coach role which will handle the whole account of 13 waves which is consists of 10 agents per wave totalling a 130 agents, this role would also require me to report directly to the operations manager but this role would not give me a raise and will be on a commission base on the performance of the whole account as compare to the Team Lead role which will not only give me a raise but I would also only be required to be responsible for just the work of 13 agents.
After days of weighing things, I decided to take on the Sales coach role which opened my career to the leadership path. This increased the level of my profession and developed not just my skill in being a team player but also in handling people. My develop matters the most to me and if by doing this means I will prioritize less the raise then I am more than willing to disregard that fact and believe that I can do well to get the commission that I deserve based on the contribution that I made to improve to the score of the whole account in the best of my ability. After some time working with BPO companies, I decided to take on a role with an in-house company, I wanted to enter the corporate world’ luckily I was hired a Technical Sales Engineer for Ingram Micro (World’s largest wholesale distributor). In this job, I acted as a consultant who communicates directly with the resellers to provide the best recommendations based on their client’s needs. I was able to improved my critical thinking because of this role. Every recommendation is not open for errors as it would directly affect the business firsthand. Unfortunately, an organization restructure was needed to be done by the company during that year and they have a policy of last in - first out so my batch got redundiated but I did not take my time to look for a better opportunity, I applied as a Service Desk Analyst (matches the TL role in a BPO company) for Xerox (an ITO company) and got promoted as an SME for a new account after a couple of months.
In this job, I learned more about the technical stuff and training people but ATOS bought Xerox and for the second time, we were given a separation pay. After working for BPO and ITO companies and a global shared services company, I tried my luck with an international law firm company (in-house), I got hired as a Service Desk Analyst as well initially then fortunately, a Quality Analyst role was opened after a few weeks in training and I got promoted because of my previous experience. In this job, I worked with lawyers (associates, partners, secretaries) and different types of roles. I learned every formal way of work in the corporate world. I got to talked to stakeholders globally and come up with important decisions in terms of the improvement of the service desk department. I assessed each and every emails, calls and tickets that were being opened by the Service Desk Analyst and score it based on the policies and procedures in placed. Currently, I am working with American Express as a Quality Analyst.
After 2 years of experience in the law firm world, I wanted to have an experience in the financial world and as first’ I was scared if I will be able to make it here but to my surprise, every job experience that I had always me push me to put the highest dedication that I can give. I was awarded multiple times as Best Quality Analyst. My job with American Express is not just about numbers or money but compliance with the US banking regulations. I am responsible in ensuring that every agent and card members are in line with these. My main task is to monitor / audit each call, email and chat samples but this is not what I only did, I started the Global Calibration process, Coaching, Submission of Process Improvement ideas and Report Analytics training. I brought my bag of related experiences and decided to open it on the table and contribute more to the success of the business and this is also what I will do once I am given the chance to work with Brightdrop. My personal and career development is very important to me and I take pride on every job experience that I had. I know a lot with almost everything in this line of business so I am hoping that you get to consider me in sharing all of this with you. I am open to more learning so I am excited and looking forward in hearing from you the soonest."
