"My name is Susana De Pavía Mitre, I'm a twenty-six-year-old living in Mexico City.
My first job was at a bilingual call center, I worked in the Dish campaign. This first employment gave me the opportunity to learn active listening and de-escalating techniques. At the entry-level, I would be on the phone all day taking from eighty to a hundred calls from clients who were having tech, payment, or programming issues. It was an eye-opening opportunity that empowered me to understand the best ways to deal with exasperated Clients. After seven months I was promoted to the Loyalty team, which handles customers that are considering canceling their service.
I had always wanted to work in something that would help people in vulnerable situations, so I became a bilingual interpreter working remotely. This position taught me so much. I became familiar with the difficult challenges limited English speakers face in the US. Interpreting simultaneously is not easy, especially when dealing with sensitive information, precision is of the utmost importance. I progressed rapidly and that launched me to work as a supervisor. I was juggling many hats, interpreting serious calls from 911, CPS, and hospitals. I also came in contact with different software platforms and this allowed me to improve my tech skills. Plus, handling personnel, and solving difficulties along the way.
For the past three years, I have been working as a Virtual Assistant for a Property Management Company. This was a whole new arena for me and I gladly accepted the challenge. First off, I started by being the liaison between tenants and service providers. I was also scheduling property viewings and handling rental applications. As time went on, I was trusted with new tasks and responsibilities, like training new hires. The accounting department wanted me to work with them and I began processing invoices and keeping the books updated and precise. I started designing some of the company's merchandise and was in charge of contacting vendors and getting yard signs ordered. One of the sister companies took me on and I was working directly with the founder, who needed to be out in the field for most of the day, so all of the administrative work was done by me. I was multi-tasking, processing work orders, getting estimates from vendors, handling the accounting books, and supervising the job done by the technicians at the same time. It was very rewarding because this gave the Founder the much-needed time necessary to grow the company.
I am result-oriented, reliable, and a team player. I'm always invested in everything I do and that shines through my work's results."
