"I have worked with a Chart Retrieval Company for almost 3 years; I started January of 2017 Until October 2019. I spent the first year as an Associate wherein we call medical facilities to request for medical records on behalf of insurance companies. If the request is low volume, we request the medical records contact to either fax, mail or email the records to us or they can also utilize their copy service. We can also set an onsite appointment for a field reviewer to come in to their facility to retrieve the records if it’s a bulk request.
As an associate, we also need to identify and/or validate all relevant information which includes the medical provider’s demographics, medical records contact, and the presence of the requested chart(s) as part of the verification process and also to protect the patient’s health information by making sure that we are follow HIPAA Guidelines.
I have been a consistent top scheduler and was promoted to a Coach after a year, wherein I am the one responsible in overseeing the production on a day to day basis and report it to my immediate Manager, I am also in charge of the Agents quality of work, making sure that the team is hitting the quality standards by doing a call listening, side by side monitoring and coaching session whenever its needed. Also I am the one conducting daily huddles to discuss about the team’s performance, process updates, special instructions and also how we will strategize for the day."
