2015 Conference Program Proposal
This submission site is for the 2015 ALA Annual Conference. Please refer to the 2015 Program Proposal Information sheet when filling out this form.

Participants attending ALSC programs are seeking valuable educational experiences and are critical of presenters or sessions that are self-promotional. Presentations should advance the educational process and provide a valuable learning experience. The Program Coordinating Committee will not select a program session that suggests commercial sales or self-promotion.

Deadline for submission is June 6, 2014. Please note that the Program Proposal form cannot be saved. Once information is entered it cannot be edited. All required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*) and must be filled in; screen readers will say the word star.

  • Setup

    Please estimate the following necessary information. Each program will have a standard set that include LCD projector, screen, and an appropriate number of microphones. Additional equipment such as computers, wireless lavaliere microphones, Internet connections and speakers attached to your laptop are extremely costly. If you do not request that equipment here, you will not be approved for it once your program has been accepted.
  • Preferred Date and Time

    Flexibility is important and time slots cannot be guaranteed. Saturday and Sunday afternoons are the most requested.
  • Budget

    The ALSC program budget is limited. ALA/ALSC policy states that ALA/ALSC members do not receive payment for presenting programs. This includes honoraria, reimbursements for expenses related to travel, and registration fees. Any anticipated speaker fees must be listed here prior to program approval.
  • Submission

    Once you click the submit button your form will be sent to the ALSC Program Coordinating Committee. You will receive confirmation that your proposal has been received. If the form will not submit, please scroll up to see required fields highlighted in red that have been left blank. All required fields must be filled out.
