"I have been working as a customer care professional for almost 14 years. I started working as a customer care service in a telco account in the US under Teleperformance. Since then, it honed my skills on how to properly deal with customers, how to rapport, upsell, and how to be effective. My main responsibilities are processing payments, billing inquiries, phone replacement and activation and filing disputes. I really did enjoy my stay in that company, it pays well, great leadership team, excellent benefits and a conducive environment.
In October 2010, I joined VXI Global as a direct sales agent in a satellite tv company, still in the US market. My main responsibilities are to close a sale and book an appointment for the installation of the satellite dish. After 2 years taking calls as a sales agent, I was promoted as a "Learning Lab" supervisor where I handled new agents fresh from training. My main responsibilities are to monitor their calls, do feedback and to occasionally take over a call if the agent is having a hard time closing a sale.
In March 2012, still with VXI, I was transferred to a different line of business, this time in a credit card company in the US where I handled consumer credit card accounts. This role is a combination of taking customer service roles (i.e., credit card payment, fraud disputes, card replacement, billing inquiry, address change etc.) and sales (i.e., adding a secondary or supplementary card, new credit card application, credit card upgrade, line of credit increase etc.).
After almost 8 years working in VXI, I decided to leave the company when the credit card company that I have been working with decided to pull out their business from VXI. I started working from home as a sales agent with Brighter Brain, a tech company based in the US and my main role is to find an employer on behalf of our tech guys to hire them.
2019 was the year I joined American Express International where I handled Business Accounts as a customer care professional. This role is a combination of taking customer service roles (i.e., credit card payment, fraud disputes, card replacement, billing inquiry, address change etc.) and sales (i.e., adding a secondary or supplementary card, new credit card application, credit card upgrade, line of credit increase etc.)."
