"I recently worked for Telus International Philippines, a BPO company headquartered in Canada, as a Customer Service Representative. I’ve been employed here for over 8 years and handled 3 different lines of business. My first account was with Directory Assistance, commonly known as 411, wherein I was an operator for almost 6 years. My main task was to provide contact numbers, addresses and any other information listed in the directory, depending on customer’s request. Due to travel constraints, I requested to be transferred to a site that was more convenient for me. Along with this, I had to be assigned to a property management account called Pillow Homes. We handled all tasks that the business requires ranging from booking inquiries and reservations, customer-related concerns and coordinating with property owners and all other personnel involved. Our communication was via email, chat and call. Unfortunately, after a year, our client decided to keep their Customer Service Representatives headquartered in San Francisco. Hence, I was transferred to another account. This time, it was Telus’ own business which was home services specifically cable, internet and landline. I was a Care Chat agent here, where I was assigned to address customers’ inquiries and concerns via chat. Sales was also a part of my job here including processing of orders.
Prior to my employment with Telus, I was a Directory Assistance Operator for KGB, formerly known as Infonxx. My tasks here was wider, though, as apart from giving out telephone numbers, we provided assistance to customers who needed directions for a specific location, movie times and listings. Handling emergency calls was also a part of my job, which I can say, is the most crucial. However, this was purely US-based, while in Telus, we catered to US and Canada clients. I was also into the Telemarketing industry, marketing credit cards and personal loans via phone. This is a local account where we earn through commissions. I am also a Real Estate Broker, on the side. I also had home-based part-time jobs as a virtual lister and transferring of DPF files of articles from various publications.
Considering the jobs that I have handled, I can aptly say that I am most fitted in Customer Service, Sales and Directory Assistance. I am hardworking, patient and work well with others. Furthermore, I can work under minimal supervision and abide by company rules and regulations."
