  • Discover the many ways music can tell a story and spark imaginations! In this concert students will meet the orchestra through exciting and expressive stories told in music. Continuing our yearly instrument families cycle, the woodwind instruments are the main characters in this performance and are highlighted by musical selections from William Tell Overture, Scheherazade, Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, and more!
  • Music Hall has an incredible history, and we have an even brighter future in store as the CSO returns to this newly renovated landmark. Join us as the Orchestra celebrates Cincinnati’s musical roots, the grandeur of Music Hall, and our vibrant arts community! Selections include excerpts from Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, Stravinsky’s The Firebird, and Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, with special guests from Cincinnati Opera and more; not to mention, a behind the scenes look at the Music Hall renovation project.
  • For centuries, people have turned to music to express emotions and ideas that can’t be described through words alone. Join the orchestra and explore the power of music to communicate emotion, share different cultures, and ignite change. This concert features Shostakovich’s powerful Symphony No. 5 music inspired by the poetry of Dr. Maya Angelou, American patriotic songs, and the winner of the annual YPC Melody Contest!
  • The Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra combines forces with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra to perform an exciting side-by-side concert featuring the brightest talent of tomorrow in concert with their CSO mentors!
