I recently worked with Optum as a Provider Resolution Specialist for two years. My job involves providing medical benefits to active health insurance members, checking status of a pending claim/appeal, explain why claims got denied and how to go about it, initiating prior authorization for inpatient or outpatient cases and verifying if CPT/HCPC codes and ICD-10 codes are valid and billable. On a daily basis, I receive 60 to 80 calls. Although, I resigned last May 2017 because I need to stay home and take care of my mother who just got out of the hospital last April due to stroke and so I decided to find a home-based job.
Before Optum, I worked in a quick-service restaurant here in the Philippines, Army Navy Burger Inc., as a restaurant manager. I was assigned with administrative tasks like documenting grievances, compensation, performance reports, benefits information, absences and terminations. Beyond administrative duties, I was also tasked in recruiting, hiring and training new employees. Furthermore, I oversee the restaurants' full operation and attend to customer complaints.
In 2012, I was connected with Eperformax Contact Centers as a customer service representative for Target.com where I assist callers with placing their order/s online, track the items and report any damages or losses. I was later trained as a retail base agent so I can also attend to Target store employee's needs like checking gift card balances. Moreover, I was also trained to become a phone representative for Target Credit Card Services where I go over our member's debit/credit card balances and many other card activities they need assistance with. In addition to these work experiences, I gained considerable customer service skills during my on-the-job training at Drury Inn and Suites La Cantera in San Antonio, Texas as a breakfast hostess.
I am diligent, hardworking and can work with less supervision. I am willing to learn more about this job so I can deliver effective results that would not only benefit me in enhancing my skills but most importantly your company's goals.
