" I have a great deal of experience as a customer service rep. Most of my jobs have been in the customer service area such as front desk receptionist at a health clinic, CS rep in a utility company in St. Louis, and many more. In each job I had has allowed me to learn something new.
My most recent experience has been with Balfour as a customer service rep in the college class rings area. There, I had the opportunity to assist customers in checking status updates, billing inquiries, making changes to an order, or placing orders when necessary. I enjoyed the high call volume because it allowed me to be more focused and made the time pass by faster. I was working in the office for a year in a half then went remotely for 6 months.
Also, I had the opportunity to work for a health clinic. Some of my most relevant tasks were making appointments for Doctors, labs, and other departments within the clinic. I would check people in, ensuring all paperwork was filled properly, and set up a new appointment when done.
Finally, I had the opportunity to work for a utility company based in St. Louis Mo, remotely. This was one of my first CS jobs where my tasks were to answer billing inquiries, take payments over the phone, and clear out any questions or doubts. I mention this because I believe it’s where I learned the most. I learned how to de-escalate calls, and how to try to give the customer a solution to their problem even when working under pressure. "
