2017 Symposium Inspiration Contest
YALSA, with funding in part from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, would like to give you the chance to win $1,500 to implement your symposium generated idea in your library!

Five attendees can win up to $1,500 each by pitching a service or program idea that:

• Fits at least one of the following categories: Emerging Literacies, College and Career Readiness, Community Engagement, or Connected Learning
• Connects to one program at the event
• Aligns with YALSA’s organizational plan, Futures Report, or Teen Programming Guidelines
• Fits an identified need of teens and/or their families in your specific community
• Clearly demonstrates a teens first approach to design (actively involves teens in the planning and implementation stages)
• Demonstrates that the funds will help your library reach a specific stated outcome

Eligibility Requirements
•Pitches must be no more than five minutes
•Pitches may be submitted by a team or by an individual, at least one of whom must have attended the symposium
•Only one submission per person or team
•Previous winners are not eligible

To participate, pitch your idea via video, upload it to Youtube, and fill out this submission form by December 15.
