|
| Apple Pie Day
| Help October 3 (evening) Help October 4 (daytime) Each year Timothy Christian makes and sells homemade apple pies. The dough is made on October 3 and the pies are assembled on October 4. You may help on one or both days. (Press CTL to select both days.)

| Back-to-School Swim Party
| I am available to help during the event. The first-annual Back-to-School Party is scheduled for August 26 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. This will be a fun time to reunite all families after summer break.

| Banket Day
| Help November 2 Help November 3 Each year Timothy Christian makes and sells Banket, which is a traditional Dutch treat made from almond paste. No experience is necessary to help and it is a great way to meet people and be part of a long-standing tradition at Timothy. The dough is made the first day and the banket is assembled on the second day. You may help on one or both days.

| Barnes and Noble Night
| I will staff the check-in table for one hour. I will dress up in a costume to promote the event at Timothy the week of the event. (Costume will be provided.) This annual event, held at Barnes and Noble at Oakbrook Center, is scheduled for November 15. We need individuals who will staff the check-in table for one hour during the event.

| Board/Faculty/Staff Dinner
| I will assist with annual dinner on April 16, 2012. Each year a dinner is provided to recognize Board Members and staff. Volunteers serve and clean up the dinner.

| Bowling League
| I would like to join the bowling league. Every Thursday women bowl at the Fox Bowl in Wheaton. Child care is available on-site.

| Box Tops and Clipables
| Sort and bundle box tops I would like to co-chair this activity. Timothy makes a significant amount of money by collecting box tops and UPC labels. We need volunteers to sort, clip, count and bundle box tops as required by
the companies for reimbursement. The work is done in the Elementary school office.
We are also looking for someone to assist the current chairperson.

| Children's Clothing and Toy Resale
| Work on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17 Work on Friday and Saturday during the Spring Sale. Help is needed to collect and sort items as they are delivered on Friday and assist at the sale on Saturday.
Volunteers need to be available to work both days of the sale. Volunteers are also able to pre-shop.

| Classroom Lunch Monitor
| I would be willing to coordinate this program. I would be willing to be a Lunch Monitor Classroom Lunch Monitors volunteer in the classroom weekly, during the 20-minute lunch period and ensure that children are safe and supervised while they eat their lunch.
If you choose, you may read a book to the students while they eat, or you may simply be in the classroom with them. You would need to arrive at the classroom several minutes before the start of the lunch period and stay with the students until they are dismissed for recess at the conclusion of the lunch period. All Classroom Lunch Monitors will be given written classroom rules and policies. Please note that younger children may not accompany you.
The following is the schedule by grade level: Tuesday -- 3rd grade Wednesday -- 1st, 4th and 6th grade Thursday -- Kindergarten and 2nd grade Friday -- 5th grade.
You may volunteer one, two, three or four times per month. There are no Lunch Monitors during the fifth week.

| Community Development Committee
| I would like to join the Community Development Committee. I am willing to co-chair this committee. Community Development is one of PIE's three purposes. This committee is responsible for The Back-to-School Pool Party, MOTS and DOTS, Family Fun and Fitness events and other activities that build community.

| FTD Flower Sale
| Distribute flowers on 11.22.11 (3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Distribute flowers on 11.22.11 (5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) Distribute flowers for Valentine's Day sale. Distribute flowers for Easter sale. Distribute flowers for Mother's Day sale. FTD and TImothy Christian have partnered to offer beautiful flower arrangements for Thanksgiving, Valentines's Day, Easter and Mother's Day. Volunteers are needed to staff a table in the high school cafeteria where the flowers will be picked up.

| Gift Wrapping Fundraiser
| I am willing to help distribute packets to classrooms during lunch on 9.1 I am willing to help pass out gift wrap during parent teacher conferences 11.1 or 11.3 The annual Gift wrap sale is from 9.1.11 to 9.11.11.

| Koeze Nut Sale
| Assist with Nut Sale Volunteers are need to send home the catalogs and order forms, place the order and then make sure the families pick-up their orders.

| Library Volunteer
| I would like to assist in the library three hours per week.
|
| Market Day
| I will volunteer one Friday afternoon each month to help sort, verify and assemble Market Day orders. Market Day Coordinator

| Moms in Touch
| Pray for students and the school. Each Friday morning that school is in session, a group of parents meet in the High School Conference room from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. to pray for their children and school. Free child-care is graciously
provided by Timothy High School students.

| Parent-Teacher Conference Dinner
| Setup dinner (November 1) Clean up (November 1) Setup dinner (November 3) Clean up (November 3) While teachers are holding conferences, PIE supplies them with dinner since they are at school all evening.
Volunteers are needed to cook, to set up the dinner and to clean-up.

| Picture Lady
| Present art appreciation program on the second Friday of each month. If you are interested in being a Picture Lady, please contact Ardythe Tsienga directly at 630.655.2888. This program fills up quickly. Ardythe accepts volunteers as soon as class lists are available.

| PIE Lunch Server
| Serve 1st Tuesday Serve 2nd Tuesday Serve 3rd Tuesday Serve 4th Tuesday Substitue Server This commitment is for one Tuesday each month during the lunch hour. You will be contacted by the weekly coordinator with specifics once all the volunteers are placed.

| Room Parent
| Kindergarten Kindergarten First Grade First Grade Second Grade Second Grade Third Grade Third Grade Fourth Grade Fourth Grade Fifth Grade Fifth Grade Sixth Grade Sixth Grade Two Room Parents will be assigned to each classroom. Room Parents will communicate with other parents about school events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities in the class or through PiE. Room Parents will strive to involve all interested parents in at least one class activity during the year.
Responsibilities of the Room Parents
• Meet with the teacher at the beginning of the year to assess his/her needs for parent involvement in the classroom.
• Communicate opportunities for involvement to parents in the class. These opportunities can include, but are not limited to: chaperoning a field trip; planning the class Christmas party; organizing opportunities for parents to meet socially outside of school; organizing class park outings or an end-of-the-year picnic; and any other activities which support the teacher or encourage a sense of community among parents.
• Match interested parents to class activities and communicate this with parents.
• Forward periodic reminders to the parents in the class regarding upcoming PiE events, volunteer opportunities through PiE, and school events.
• Act as the point of contact for parents for questions about classroom or PiE activities. Use the Room Parent Coordinators as a resource for more information when needed.
You may express interest in multiple classes by checking more than one box. If you have two children in the same grade please select that grade twice. Each person may only be a Room Parent for one class.

| Teacher Support Committee
| I would like to be on the Elementary/Middle School Teacher Support Committee. I would like to be on the High School Teacher Support Committee. One of PIE's three purposes is to support our teachers. To that end, we need individuals who are interested in being on the Teacher Support Committee. This committee will plan and execute teacher events, meals, etc.

| I will provide food when needed We also need individuals who are willing to occasionally bake, cook or bring food for planned events. You will receive an e-mail prior to an event letting you know what is needed. You are not committed to bake, or bring food, for each request.
