Appreciation Pin: Nomination & Endorsement
Appreciation Pin is an honor for those whose service has been outstanding, is over and above the expectations of the position held, and has had a significant impact on at least one geographic area of the Council (Service Unit or Association). This award is approved by the Council’s Board of Directors and presented at the Council’s recognition event.
  • How to Nominate a Volunteer for the Appreciation Pin:

    1. The Main Nominator completes this Nomination to the best of their knowledge.
    2. The Appreciation Pin requires 2 endorsements, which can be collected by the Main Nominator, and copy & Pasted into this form, citing both endorsers by name and email contact.
    3. Click "submit" to send the nomination /endorsement form to the GSOC offices by: February 4th at 6:08 pm

  • Award Process for the Appreciation Pin:

    • Nominations are reviewed by the Adult Recognition Committee (GSOC volunteers and staff) to determine that recognition criteria are met in each nomination and to discuss the concrete details given.
    • Upon approval, the Main Nominator and the SUM/Pathway supervisor will be notified with arrangements for giving the award. National Awards should always be bestowed at a public venue.
    • Upon non-approval, the Adult Recognition Committee (ARC) will notify the Main Nominator and may recommend the nominee for a different award than originally nominated.
  • The nominee's Service Unit Manager or Pathway Supervisor will be notified of this nomination.
  • Please include the nominee's name in the file title.
