Award categories. Select the one you feel best supports your nominee's volunteer service and contributions. You must select ONE.
Jane Mendel: This award recognizes an individual who has shown outstanding commitment as a district-wide volunteer. Nominees will be judged on range and years of service, diversity of leadership roles and impact. This is ViPS' highest award.
Community Resource: A community group, church, business or individual supporting LRSD through service, programs, unique resources or contributions.
Mentor/Tutor: Volunteer or group supporting mentoring or tutoring in LRSD.
Leadership Support: Volunteer serving in a leadership capacity on behalf of the district.
Family School Volunteer: A parent or family member of an LRSD student who is currently volunteering with a school. Please indicate how the nominee is related to LRSD student(s).
Community School Volunteer: A volunteer, not of immediate relation to a district student, currently volunteering in the Little Rock School District.
Student Volunteer: LRSD student serving as a volunteer for their school or the district.
Alumni Volunteer Award: A district graduate or alum group volunteering in support of LRSD.
Parent Involvement: Individual, group, school or program supporting innovative means to increase parent involvement.
Partners in Education: Outstanding partnerships that has been established and recognized by ViPS.
LRSD Employee Stellar Volunteer Service Award: Any LRSD employee who volunteers and promotes volunteerism within the district. Nominee may hold any district employee position. Only ONE nomination per school for this category.

The district-wide volunteer reception 'An Evening for the Stars' will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. We encourage you to attend in support of your nominee. It will be held at the Holiday Inn Airport off of Bankhead Road, LR airport exit.
Photos of all nominees are highly encouraged. There will be a nominee slide show as part of the recognition. (Photos must be received by April 12.)
