"What can I bring in terms of Shipping experience? It is customer service in nature while at the same time, it is also technical. Shipping has a mix of both because, in this industry, the words sent and received can have many definitions.
In terms of what I can bring to the table, I would like to start by sharing my experience in a retail line of business called Target. Due to constant changes, I only had a short stint in the said LOB. In Target, I have acquired skills like knowledge of the Salesforce CRM (Customer Resource Management) tool. It helps in tracking tickets and analyzes their data in a way that converts to brand promoters.
My next relevant experience will be with a then start - up company called Mous. They are providers of premium cases made from Carbon Fibre, Leather, etc. Our team oversees orders, finances, and delivery of their products. Once a product ships from a fulfillment center, we closely monitor the progress from the time shipping labels were printed out, passes through delivery centers and customs, all the way until a package arrives on the customer's doorstep. You can consider it an end - to - end type of work.
My most recent experience is with Shopify. Here we deal with the e-commerce platform and merchant's use of their processes. In terms of Shipping, Shopify deals with the process of third- party applications such as Shipstation and Printify. Additionally, dropshipping such as Spocket and Oberlo (via AliExpress) is also overseen.
Overall, my experience will prove useful as I am not only aware of the Shipping process. I have experience with the back-end process as well."
