SOUTHERN VOICES is an annual Dance Festival that invites Choreographers to create original works for professional presentation. This is D'PROJECT's ninth season producing this important community event, at no cost to participants. Despite the style of your work, you must agree to incorporate contemporary elements to be considered. We only allow new choreographies, not previously staged works.

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS | 2017 DATES:

* You must be 18 years or older to apply.
* You must be available for One-Hour on Saturday-May 6 /or/ Sunday-May 7, for your Choreographer Interview at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans.
* You must be available for Tech and Dress Rehearsals during the week of June 19.
* You must perform twice with your group during the weekend of June 23-25.

Selections of Participants are based on this Application, Previous Collaborations, and Work Samples submitted. Decisions made by Panel Members are Final. Participants will be announced on Monday, April 17, 2017. You will be notified via email regarding your inclusion in this event. Please direct any questions to: DPROJECT@bellsouth.net
