"During my 4-year employment in US healthcare insurance, I handled inbound and outbound calls mostly about eligibility and benefits. I assisted members to look for referrals and offer them the best provider for their health status. I also assisted the providers regarding their claims.
I had a chance to expand my line of work and was given a task to update our provider information on the website. Aside from taking inbound and outbound calls, I was also given a chance to handle email and fax support. I sent communication emails to providers if they have information that they needed to update regarding their practice like their address and phone numbers so the members are aware of the correct location of their clinic, the updated clinic hours and if they are taking new patients.
During my employment in Durable Medical Equipment Company, my task was encoding patient information in the DME system, collaborating with patients, clinics, and providers if there are missing documents needed to obtain prior authorization. I handled outbound calls to the insurance company to check the benefits, eligibility and obtain prior authorization. And lastly, I need to make sure that I created a delivery schedule and send the billing and collection status to our billing and collection department."
