"Hello! My name is Mizhelle Alas. I'm 37, from the province of Bulacan, Philippines. For the past years, I have accumulated several work experiences and skills which, I believe, make me a "great fit" for your business.
At the age of 18, I started to work as a cashier, dealing with different types of customers for five years. I worked in several business establishments (supermarkets, retail stores, and restaurants). As a former cashier, I had strong product knowledge and an understanding of the customer's needs. I must engage with the customer and understand what they want while doing soft-selling. I developed the skill of active listening, being friendly, and being approachable, at the same time, awareness and sharpness.
As I graduated college at the age of 29, having a degree in Education majoring in English, I rendered a year as an English Instructor at a Systems Technology Institute here in my municipality. I taught college students national curriculum guidelines within the subject area. I used different advance teaching tools and types of equipment. I familiarized myself with using Google Educational tools for digital portfolios, online assessment, data visualization, word processing, and more. I developed confidence in myself, my mentoring skills, reliability, and professionalism.
Afterwards, I decided to venture into the world of BPO. I was a Customer Service Associate under Travel Account. I worked with Expedia and Travelocity. I had handled customer calls assisting with their account inquiries, complaints, or support calls. My task also included offering advice on destinations, plan trip itineraries, and make travel arrangements for clients. Although I only worked for a short period of eight months at that account due to some family issue, I received an award for being the "Top 2 Agent" having a satisfaction rating coming from customers' feedback. Working at a BPO developed my customer service skills, verbal communication skills, my ability to sell products and services. I also found it very important to be thorough and pay attention to details.
Lastly, my previous post was an ESL Tutor for Chinese students and then got promoted to be a Material Trainer in charge of mentoring and training old and new tutors for the company. I worked with Acadsoc LTD. for two years as a Tutor and Trainer at the same time. I provided one-on-one online English lessons for young and adult students, conducted small group training for tutors, and delivered a training development plan according to the company’s teaching standards. I also handled training with the process, tools navigation, and proper documentation. I am proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I also submit reports to the Managers weekly and monthly about the trainees' progress. As a tutor and a trainer, I nurtured my organizational skills to keep the workspace and tasks in order. In addition, I was able to enhance my ability for time management and multitasking."
