About Us

  • Cheniere Energy's 1st Annual Charitable Fishing Classic is open to the public for participation but our Louisiana Wounded Warriors are in for a special treat! They will be honored the entire weekend with free entry into the tournament, lodging and food.

    To be eligible to participate in the Wounded Warriors Weekend, you must have incurred service-connected wounds, injuries, or illnesses on or after September 11, 2001 while in a combat theater in support of OEF/OIF/OND. Verification is required. There is limited space so online registration is required and selection is based on first come first serve.

    Wounded Warrior Weekend includes (Friday to Sunday):

    1. Friday and Saturday night lodging (no charge)
    2. Food and beverages (no charge)
    3. Fishing equipment, bait and fishing guide with boat (no charge)
    4. Entry into fishing tournament (no charge)

    FRIDAY, June 22nd:
    Check In from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm; Dinner at 7:30 pm and Welcome

    SATURDAY, June 23rd:
    Breakfast
    Entry into Fishing Classic at Sabine Lake, Calcasieu Lake & Surf Fishing
    Fishing Hours: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm (lunch provided)
    Weigh In: 3:00 pm (fisherman must be in line at 4:00 pm to be allowed to weigh in)
    Awards and Food following the weigh in.


    SUNDAY, June 24th:
    Breakfast
    Check Out from 10:00 am to 11:00 am

  • RULES & ELIGIBILITY FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS:

    To be eligible to participate you must have incurred service-connected wounds, injuries, or illnesses on or after September 11, 2001.

    Verification of service is required.

  • OFFICIAL RULES OF THE TOURNAMENT:

    1. All Louisiana game fish rules will apply to size and limits
    2. All fish must be caught on day of tournament
    3. Each person in the boat must be entered in the tournament
    4. Deadline for entry - June 21, 2012 *
    5. Weigh In: Begins at 3:00 pm; fisherman must be in line at 4:00 pm to be allowed to weigh in
    6. Category weight will be per entrant
    7. Prizes will be awarded for 1st & 2nd places in each division—except trash fish division
    - 1st Place $500 2nd Place $250
    - Door prizes for participants will be drawn after the weigh in
    - Food and music provided
    8. All disputes will be settled by the Tournament Committee
    9. Late entries must be paid before beginning of fishing hours the day of tournament to be eligible for prizes.

    CATEGORIES:
    1. Categories - Redfish
    - Division: 1 largest redfish
    2. Categories - Speckled Trout
    - Division: 1 largest trout
    3. Categories - Flounder
    - Division: 1 largest flounder
    4. Categories - Trash Fish (any fish other than redfish, trout, or flounder)
    - Division: 1 largest trash fish - Prize $150.00
