"My most recent work is for a logistics company. I started as a customer service representative who handles scheduling pick ups and deliveries. Communicating with customers, clients and warehouse personnels thru chat,inbound/outbound calls and emails. After almost a year, the number of clients grew and we had to add more people to our team. I was chosen to lead my own team, the delivery team. My main task is to take care of the orders that have already been picked up and need to be scheduled for delivery.Everyday I have to divide and distribute the orders among my team members.I also take care of escalated calls related to deliveries. This job is thrilling for me.I find it very fulfilling whenever I am able to find a solution to a customer's concern, thinking out of the box and going above and beyond just to be able to help and satisfy the customers.
For almost a year, I also worked as a substitute teacher for elementary students. I learned to adapt to individual students as different individuals learn in different ways. On this job I learned to have more patience.I also learned that a teacher needs to know his/her student's background so he/she can adjust to his/her student's needs. At that time, the teacher's salary wasn't that much so I also learned the value of hardwork and money.
I have also worked as a sales/billing representative for a telecommunications company. We take inbound calls from customers who have inquiries about their bill. Whenever we determine that their current plan is not fit for how often they use their mobile phone or landline we offer them an upgrade or downgrade. This is in the early years of my BPO experience and since then, over the years I really built my confidence in speaking to the customers and listening skills."
