Shine the Light 2015: Participant Registration
With this event, HAART and STAR are looking to highlight art forms that allow survivors, friends, family, and community members to freely express themselves in order to promote understanding, healing, compassion, health, and empowerment.
All participants should relate their work to the topics of sexual trauma and/or STIs. This can include personal experience!
Participants may highlight issues such as emotional and/or physical abuse, mental health, harassment, alcohol and drug addiction, poverty, gender stereotypes, victim blaming, self-blame, gender violence, healthy masculinity, consent, communication, condom negotiation, stigma and shame, combating myths, silence, etc.
Performances should not exceed 10 minutes.
