Summer Youth Mission Trip Registrations
June 16 - June 23, 2013
New Orleans, Louisiana 2013

Many of you are “veterans” of youth mission trips, while some may be with us for the very first time. Be open…learn, teach, work, and care for each other. We will renew old friendships and make new ones in this city environment. January to June will be a time of gathering our efforts and getting to know one another. The week we spend together will be packed full of opportunities. We hope you can join us in this ministry in Louisana.

We will be working with Project Homecoming in New Orleans.

Project Homecoming is a faith-based community development organization building resilient neighborhoods in the greater new Orleans area. Project Homecoming is a rebuilding ministry of the Presbytery of South Louisiana, funded mainly by Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. They utilize volunteer labor and experienced construction staff. Project Homecoming rebuilds the homes of uninsured, under insured, elderly and disabled survivors of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Since its inception in April of 2007, they have utilized experienced construction management and over 8,000 volunteers to rebuild 120 homes.

Our Montview group will be working under the direction of the construction managers on rebuilding homes. There will be times for reflection and free time as well. We will have the opportunity for a night out in New Orleans and our “fun” day at the end of the week. (Most likely a Cajun Bayou experience)

The cost of the trip will be $650 per person.
This will cover your plane ticket, food, lodging, service experience, van rentals.
(Montview can offer financial assistance for this trip.)

Please fill out the registration form and send in your $100 deposit by January 31, 2013. The week will we spend together will be packed full of opportunities. We hope you can join us in this ministry with New Orleans.
