Thank you for your interest in volunteering!

With the help of a Parks Foundation of Clark County grant and many volunteers, one mile of new trail is being added in the forested area at the north end of the park. At this event we will be clearing brush for the new trail corridor. We are making a big push to get the whole mile cleared out this winter so the trail will be ready for grading and graveling in the spring. We have already brushed out nearly 70%, so we are getting close, but we need your help!

The meeting location will NOT be in the main parking lot. Drive past the main park entrance and proceed north until you reach the white gate. This is the fire lane that leads to the trail head. We will have the gate open to allow volunteers to enter here. Look for the "Volunteers at Work" signs.

You should wear weather-appropriate clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Please wear long pants, and closed toe shoes, and bring water to drink. If you have tools or supplies (rakes, hand pruners, loppers, gloves, etc.) please bring them (no power tools, please).

If you (or anyone in your group) are under the age of 18, a parental consent form must be signed. Please copy and paste this URL into your browser to access the form: http://www.parkhero.org/Documents/CCPMinorConsent_000.pdf. Please print, fill it out, and bring it with you to the event.

If you have any questions please contact the Volunteer Program Coordinator, Karen Llewellyn, at 360.397.6118 ext. 1627 or via e-mail at karen.llewellyn@clark.wa.gov.
