Europe’s energy market in 2030 is integrated in a smart grid, and energy is generated 100% from renewable sources. Transport, buildings and all other goods and services have been fully electrified or run on biofuel and hidrogen. To achieve this point, Europe has invested heavily in new technological developments, but progress has also been supported by a change of citizens' mentality and behaviour: energy savings from individuals and from industries and businesses and responsible consumption are large. The full society is open to invest in renewable energy and reduce energy consumption.
