National Antiques Week Young Guns Award Entry Form
Thank you for applying to take part in the National Antiques Week 2013 Young Guns of the Trade awards.
The judges will be looking for the most endearing story of how and why you started your business or joined the antiques trade. In your application you should demonstrate a real and heartfelt commitment to the antiques trade and show how you can generate confidence to encourage other young people to join the trade and visit antiques shops.
This campaign reinforces one of the central themes of the mission statement of National Antiques Week.
• To Promote and encourage a younger audience to visit antiques shops, fairs and auction houses during National Antiques Week
• To promote and endorse the green credentials of antiques and to highlight the exceptional value antiques represent compared with equivalent high street purchases
Key Dates:
• A shortlist of 10 entrants will be judged after the closing date of Thursday 31 January 2013 and you will be notified by Thursday 28 February 2013 if you have been selected.
• The winner and 2 runners up will be announced at an awards ceremony at The Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair on Thursday 25 April 2013 at 6pm.
• As part of the terms and conditions of the awards campaign the 10 shortlisted entrants must be able to attend the awards ceremony at the Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair, Battersea, London, SW11 4NJ from 2pm on Thursday 25 April 2013. If a member of the shortlist is unable to attend on that day the organisers reserve the right to invite another entrant to fill the vacancy.
• All entrants in the awards scheme will be eligible to provide objects for sale to be displayed in the Young Guns - The Future of the Antiques Trade foyer exhibition at the Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair from 22-27 April 2013, subject to organisers’ discretion.
• All entrants must supply a suitable high resolution image of themselves via email to mail@antiquesnewsandfairs.co.uk using YOUNG GUNS ENTRY IMAGE in the title of the message
