"This is to summarize my working experiences for the past four years. I started working when I was 16years old after I graduated a 2-year course. I’ve decided to work right away to provide my family’s financial needs. At an early age, I became the “Bread Winner” of my family.

First, I worked as a Barista and Cashier. I am taking orders, preparing, and serving a variety of coffee and drinks along with different pastries. In the middle of my service on the first company that I worked with, I got an offer from my previous OJT (On-the-Job Training) Superior for a waitress position in a hotel at Laguna, Philippines. I took the opportunity right away as this was my dream job since I was a child. As a waitress, I am greeting guests upon entering the premises, taking and serving their orders, assisting them with their necessities and taking their payment, and giving back their change quick, efficient, and friendly. On these jobs, I already practiced being highly organized and efficient to make sure every guest will be satisfied with my service.

Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding between the agency and the hotel’s company. Most of the employees are not having the right compensation, including me. I have decided to part my way to this company. Luckily, my cousin in Dubai asked if I can work abroad and he will help me out. I took the chance of giving my family more than what they need by being an Overseas Filipino Worker. I went to Dubai when I was 19years old. I also worked as a Barista and Cashier there. It was just the same role as my first job but this time all my customers have different nationalities. As time passed by, I started to realized that my English skills enhanced. As I am always talking and speaking in English even at home.

Another misfortune came when the company decided to close the coffee shop where I am working because fewer people are coming. This is due to the beach renovation where the shop was operating. A few months after, I decided to go back to the Philippines. After one week, I applied to a BPO industry as a Customer Service Representative in Lipa, Batangas. I have undergone pieces of training, where all my skills have been developed. Like being able to work more than one task at a time. I also had a chance to work with different personalities where I learned to work as a part of a team or independently. My job is to assist customers by providing helpful information, responding to their inquiries, and filing their complaints. I am also making sure that every customer is satisfied with my service before ending the call. I was able to perform well from every task given to me from my previous jobs. And I am confident that I can do well here too if I may be given the chance to be part of your growing community."
