Before the guests arrive I will photograph details of the party such as party theme decor, cake, balloons, gifts, shots of the party table and other decorations. I am a natural light photographer however, depending on the location and time of day of the party, I will be shooting with my speedlite. In this case for extra lighting indoors and or at night.
In order to capture all of the important moments that you want me to document I need to know the plan of the party such as: when everyone will be sitting down, when the blowing out of candles will happen, when presents will be opened etc. This will help me be positioned for each event just ahead of them happening. Most of the party photos will end up being candid ones of children and adults interacting with one another around the different party activities, as well as the Birthday girl/boy. I will make the effort to meet the children as they come to the party and to be friendly and fun. Best shots come as the children warm up to me. In this event I will be aware of personal boundaries when photographing children. Unfortunately we live in a time where this topic of photographing kids is sketchy and can be misused and abused. Please notify your guest that there will be a photographer at the event.
“Must Have” shots are shots you want me to document per contract and available time allotted. These might include some group shots, cake shots, blowing out candles, opening presents, party games etc. per agreement of contract.

Truth in Photography Clause
Photography is an artistic interpretation of what a photographer sees when
taking a photograph. The interpretation includes the subjects, the posing,
the location available and the lighting available at the time of the
session. There needs to be a level of trust between the photographer and the
subject(s) for the end result to be pleasing to the subject AND the
photographer. If any party of parties in your session are unwilling to be
open to posing or expression suggestions, it is best to discuss this with
your photographer BEFORE the session begins. It needs to be understood that
clients will only be able to get out of session what they put into a
session, and that your photographer is your partner and see that you receive
the end results you are looking for from your session. Please clearly
articulate to your photographer before or during your session if you are
uncomfortable with a pose or if you would like to try a different pose or
variation of a pose to ensure the best results possible. Your session fee
includes photographer's time and talent at your session, in preparation for
your session, and after your session to display your session results. Please
refer to your Portrait Agreement for the terms and conditions of the session
