"My first job was with IBM back in 2011. I worked as a Customer Service Associate (CSA) for a Canadian telephone company. As a CSA, I take inbound calls and assist customers in their inquiries and/or billing concerns. I also provide technical support for some basic issues on their satellite television. One of our metrics is also to upsell. A CSA must try to offer additional TV package or additional service such as home phone or internet to the customer. After 3 years of working for IBM I have decided to take one step up the ladder as a Business Technologist or Service Desk Level 2 Analyst.

May of 2013 when I transitioned from IBM to Atos as a Service Desk Analyst (SDA) for a global professional services company in the US. This is also an inbound calling campaign. I have supported North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, and African regions. One of the task of an SDA is to provide technical solutions to the company users/associates over the phone. I do basic troubleshooting of their office laptops or computers, and software such as the tools they use to perform their job. I also did admin tasks like password resetting, scheduling an appointment with an on-site technician, and/or requesting for a replacement of the company assets they are using like laptops and cameras. Our service level agreement with the company is to provide solutions to the user’s technical issues in a timely manner.

While I was working as an SDA, I did also tried to enter into the Business Development field as a part timer. I was able to successfully sign contracts with great campaigns for several start up call centers. One of the startup call center companies I have helped is Reliance HR Solutions. As a Business Development Manager, I have done different business development plans for the growth of this company. Closing deals with clients to get a campaign for the company is one of the biggest achievement I had in this field of service. I am so proud to brag that the campaigns I have provided for the company is still an ongoing account up to now. When I was able to close 2 campaigns for the center, I decided to resign from Atos and start working from home.

After my 6 month-contract with Reliance, I started working from home for a freight forwarding company based also in the US. As an Operations VA, I do updates on freight details such as pickup delivery date and time, origin and destination, and weight and quantity of the shipment. I am also responsible to send emails to the customer service to notify them of any changes or updates made on a particular “load” (in layman’s term, “shipment”). I make sure that the freight info on the 3 software we use tallies and are updated. Setting up appointment for pickup and/or delivery for California and Washington is also one of my tasks.

I therefore conclude that I have great technical skills, and is attentive to details. Also, I am excellent in performing administrative jobs and most especially providing customer service both to the consumer and to the company I will be representing."
