I have been in the BPO industry since 2010. I started out as a customer service representative for a US Dental Insurance. I handled question from providers and members regarding eligibility and benefits. After a year, I transferred to another BPO company and also handled US dental Insurance. I serviced providers and members questions for eligibility, benefits, claims and after 6 mos. on the productions floor, I was trained to handle questions on claims and over payments then did escalation calls.
In 2015, I decided to be a freelancer and do home- based jobs and other freelance platforms. I became a virtual assistant for several dental office and one of which I became a long- term VA. There, I handled patients' Insurance Verification, create, submit and follow up claims. I also did confirmation of appointments. For a time, I also did Hygiene recall and posting of Insurance payments.
