"My name is Stephanie Dy and you may call me Steph. I am 30 years old and a stay at home mom nursing my kids.

I have worked in the BPO industry for the past 8 years. Started back in 2010 with Sykes Asia Inc. started off as an agent who took inbound calls for a dental insurance (MetLife). Got promoted in the same year as an SME (Subject matter expert) took escalation calls and assisted newly hired agents. In 2011, I got promoted as a Real Time Analyst (workforce management) for the same account handled 3 lines of businesses which includes, dental insurance, auto & home and life insurance.

In 2015, I worked with a different company, HGS (Hinduja Gobal Solutions). Started off as an agent for a medical insurance, and later on became a part of the workforce team as a Real Time Analyst and lasted for 2 years.

In 2017, I worked with Sykes Asia Inc. as a Real Time Analyst for an Australian financial account. At the same time, I also handled another account which is AT&T.

Most of my work experience is being a Real Time Analyst, work done by us includes, staffing; we make sure on a daily basis that we are not under or overstaffed, Reports; our reports are being done and sent with Excel, real time reporting to clients and managers. Our task also includes scheduling, on a daily, weekly and 3-month basis. We are the ones giving allocation for Vacation leaves for an agent. Taking in phone calls for agents who are coming late or calling in sick/out for the day.

I have previously decided to stay at home with my kids and try to focus on finding work from home, I had some like transcribing and making follow-ups on a hospital for medical and billing purposes.

Working with these accounts made me learn that BPO industry is very broad and differs each account you handle, which made me adapt to change easily. Not every account or management is the same and I learnt not to compare. That’s why as cliché as it may sound I am a fast learner, you unlearn the things you don’t need to make space for new ones. I am very patient and has a positive outlook towards everything. Excel has been my best friend when I started being a real time analyst. Knowledge in other Microsoft office tools."
