We are a pair of Singaporean university undergraduates who have been in Canada for the past 3 months. During this period, we have purchased American Ginseng products for our family members for personal consumption and we have found the prices to be surprisingly affordable for the quality. A quick search on the American Ginseng market in Singapore revealed much higher prices.

Hence, we have decided to bring American Ginseng natively grown in Ontario, Canada to consumers in Singapore at a lower price.

Our supplier has over 25 years of experience in growing ginseng and it is a part of the Ontario Ginseng Growers Association (OGGA) whom collectively produces the largest quantity of North American Ginseng in the world. OGGA members are allowed to print the "Running Root" logo on their products, which authorises their products as 100% North American Ginseng grown in native Ontario soils.

American Ginseng (Panax quinquefolius, Panacis quinquefolis) is known to possess health benefits such as improving blood circulation, controlling cholesterol level and boosting the immune system, etc. It is commonly used in chinese herbal medicine and chinese culinary.

We are in the process of negotiating with our supplier and obtaining the necessary permits to bring the ginseng into Singapore and we are seeking an indication of interest with this survey to see if there is a substantial market for us to import the ginseng.

We are looking to sell only 4-year ginseng roots in a mix of shapes and sizes (chunky, long, pencil, short, big, thick). You will NOT be able to select your preferred shapes and/or sizes. The products will come packaged in ziplock bags (default).
