Fresh Roots Farm - Pre-Order Grass-fed Beef & Lamb

  • Grassfed Beef

    Our 100% pasture-raised grassfed beef is hormone-free, dry-aged for 14 days and is provided as frozen, cut & wrapped (in paper). Roasts are packaged as approx. 2-3 lbs/pkg, Steaks ~1-2 lbs/pkg, Ground beef ~1-1.25lbs/pkg

    Customers save approx. 15-20% when ordering Quarter or Half Beef by getting a bulk price! All other packages are based upon pricing of each cut included in the package.

    **NOTE: We do require partial, non-refundable deposits on orders of quarter and half grass-fed beef. We will invoice you shortly and payment can be sent via e-transfer**

    Bulk orders submitted now will be made available for delivery to Winnipeg beginning March 2018.

    Includes: ground beef, steaks (tenderloin, round, chuck, ribeye, t-bone, striploin, sirloin tip), roasts (cross-rib, chuck, sirloin tip), short ribs, stewing beef. Soup bones and some organ meats also available, if requested.
    *Translates into about 160 lbs in actual meat and bone**
  • Put "1" in box if you would like to order a 1/4 Grassfed Beef.
    Includes: ground beef, steaks (tenderloin, round, chuck, ribeye, t-bone, striploin, sirloin tip), roasts (cross-rib, chuck, sirloin tip), short ribs, stewing beef. Soup bones and some organ meats also available, if requested.
    *Translates into about 80 lbs in actual meat and bone**
  • How many variety beef packs would you like?
    Includes: Steaks (some premium, some economical cuts), roast, short ribs, ground beef and stewing beef. (approx. 25 lbs)
  • Grassfed Lamb

    Our pasture-raised grassfed lamb is raised without hormones and unnecessary antibiotics, and is provided as frozen, cut & wrapped (in paper).

    **NOTE: This is for pre-order only of whole or half lamb. Orders submitted now will be delivered in March or later, 2018**

    Smaller packages and individual cuts may be made available closer to the time of delivery, or after bulk orders have been fulfilled. Check our latest upcoming delivery order form to see if we are offering lamb by the cut.

    - 4 partial leg roasts (bone-in) (approx. 1.5 lbs ea)
    - 4 shanks, 2/pkg (bone-in) (approx. 1 lb/pkg)
    - 2 pkgs half rack of lamb (approx 8 ribs, 1.8 lbs/pkg)
    - 1 x shoulder roast (bone-in) (approx 1.75 lbs)
    - 5 x pkgs loin chops (approx. 3 lbs total)
    - 3 x pkgs sirloin chops (approx. 2.5 lbs total)
    - 2 x pkgs rib chops (approx. 1 lb/pkg)
    - 2 x pkgs spare ribs (approx. 1 lb/pkg)
    - 1 x pkg kebab meat (approx. 1 lb)
    - 3 pkg ground (approx. 1 lb/pkg)
    - 1 pkg neck slices *optional
    - 1 bag soup bones *optional
    - Organs (heart, liver, kidney) *optional

  • Customization (Lamb only)

    If you would like customization in addition to the standard cuts as described above, please let us know. Please note that custom orders are subject to a $15 fee (per side/half). If you have ordered a whole lamb and want only one side to be customized, and the other with standard cuts, that is an option.

  • If you select "Yes", we will send you a customization order form, which you can fill out to select the particular ways you would like the cuts to be done by the butcher. We will add the customization fee to the final cost of the animal when invoicing.
