"I started my career way back 2006 and joined a contact center here in Makati Philippines. I was part of the pioneer batches for an online travel agency that got acquired by Expedia later on. I assisted customers from planning to booking their flights and other accommodations from hotel to car rentals, to additional attractions and services. I also processed airline ticket /reservation changes, assisted with over bookings/schedule changes, travel document arrangements and other travel related queries. After 5 years of being an agent I was promoted to an SME position and was tasked to do more complex work such as ticket name changes/corrections, inventory control, retail loss. I was also part of the Retention and Resolutions desk who handles escalations and the company card for any error processing and chargebacks/pay outs. Outside my SME duties also I was assigned as a couch to newer agents regarding our products and processes. I can say it was definitely a challenging but fun and fruitful 10 years of experience working for this company and their clients.
Come 2017, I got curious as to what is out there for me in the outside world. A former colleague and friend told me she is now doing recruitment and is looking for an additional talent acquisition specialist that doesn't require any experience. I quickly signed up and luckily got hired because of my strong communication skills and work ethics, my stellar tenure and my openness to try on new things. I was a full cycle recruiter for different industries such as retail, oil and gas, IT, healthcare and manufacturing. I really enjoyed sourcing for clients, talking and negotiating with candidates as well as with hiring managers in strategizing new recruitment processes to find tailored fit candidates to join their companies.
Unfortunately due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, our clients have pulled out their business. I was placed on a floating status since August hence I decided to just part with them. With my skills, work ethics and wisdom, I want to see myself being considered to be part of your growing business."
