Dear Cara,
What a wonderful time we had decorating the Christmas cookies you provided for our class. The students loved decorating the cookies while chatting about the different ways we celebrate Christmas in Japan, Australia and in the USA. We watched "It's Christmas Time Again Charlie Brown" after we decorated the cookies and all had a fabulous time. Thank you for your generosity in giving us the gift of your time, creativity and abundant homemade Christmas cookies. It was one Christmas celebration and English lesson that both the students and I will always remember. Thanks so much!

Cara is a lovely, warm person and dedicated teacher. She's very creative and always making something - a painting, a garden, a tasty meal or freshly baked cookies. It was a pleasure working with her, and it's a pleasure to know her.

Cara is one of the best cooks of international food I've ever encountered in Japan. Her vast knowledge of other cultures and her passion for life makes her a great person to talk to, learn from and enjoy time with. I'd highly recommend Cara as a teacher who can bridge the gap between Japanese and American, as well as other, foreign cultures.

Ms. Cara Phillips always approaches everything she does with an incredible amount of passion, creativity and positive energy. Any student studying English would benefit from studying with Cara. Out of all the English teachers I have encountered over the past six years, Cara is one of very few I would recommend. It's one thing to be a good teacher, but I also believe teachers should be good people. Cara is both.

Cara has brought out the artist in me! I had no idea that I would enjoy painting so much and that it could be so relaxing!

I really look forward to our 'Painting in English' classes. My Japanese classmates are really friendly and we enjoy talking in English before and after class over some delicious snacks (homemade by Cara). During the class, the conversation is relaxed and natural as Cara's classroom environment provides a really great 'at-home' setting which fosters natural conversation.

She guides us through the lessons with her warmth and enthusiasm. As a teacher myself, when I want to learn something new it can be hard to find a teacher that I feel comfortable with as I can be critical of other teachers approaches ;) Thankfully, Cara is an excellent teacher as she is an absolute professional and in-tune with her learners.

I am throughly enjoying learning a new skill and meeting and interacting with others at the Creative Learning House!
Thank you, Cara!
