JVA World Challenge: Free Mental Training Workshop
If you are attending the 2020 JVA World Challenge in Louisville, make plans to attend one of the free mental training workshops on Saturday, June 13th presented by Dr. Gregory Dale with Duke Athletics.

The Balancing Act: A Key That Separates the Great From the Rest

There will be two 30 minute sessions for coaches, athletes and parents.

Gregory Dale, PhD, Professor of Sport Psychology and Sport Ethics at Duke University, will provide an interactive and engaging workshop for all coaches, parents and athletes. Greg is also Director of the Sport Psychology and Leadership Programs for Duke Athletics.

Based on his experience working with some of the world’s most successful athletes, Greg will provide specific strategies athletes can use to enhance their mental approach to performance and life. Particular emphasis will be on developing quality practice habits, increasing self-confidence, overcoming adversity, embracing pressure and enjoying the process.

Greg will also provide parents and coaches with tools they can use to help their children and athletes develop these important skills.

In addition to his work with Duke athletes and coaches, Greg consults with numerous college and professional athletes and provides interactive and engaging workshops for coaches, parents and student-athletes. Greg has also provided team building, performance and leadership programming for organizations and corporations around the world including IBM, VF Corporation, COACH, The World Bank, Airports Council International, Habitat for Humanity International, Pfizer, Northwestern Mutual, and Skanska International.

He has written five books related to leadership, teaching, parenting and performance. In addition, he has written scripts and served as the “expert” on a series of thirteen videos on those same topics. Greg has been featured on Good Morning America, ESPN, MSNBC, and numerous national radio programs. He is a member of National Advisory Boards for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Positive Coaching Alliance and US Lacrosse Coaches Association.
