"I have experience doing inventories as a process engineer working with production and planning teams to ensure that we have the appropriate parts and enough quantity for the production (not out of stock) and assembly lines.
We do update key account parts in the system and followup suppliers if still has not received yet the required inventory and quantity. We use excel to make sure all are in place and ready to run in production.
In relation to this, we need to analyze inventory reports if we still need additional supplies or if we are already overflowing in terms of storage. We need to make sure which part or supply is it that we need to discontinue and not to be used for production, if ever new supplies arrived already then we need to update it also in the system. All should be updated and reported daily and real-time to the whole to make sure that we can run efficiently without any worries of shortage. If there is a need for other vendors like for example if the 1st vendor could not supply enough quantity, then we need to contact other vendors and work with them for options, styles and timeframe of deliveries for consideration.
We need to use functions and formulas necessary in excel like vlookup, pivot tables and charts to help with analysis
I like to not only use excel for these tasks, we can further use Visual Basic for faster macro system as well as using other platform or software necessary for data analytics and quick summaries that I am familiar witg like SQL, JMP and Tableau."
