"With regards to the experience I have accumulated in the past 10.5 years, i was able to gain numerous learnings in terms of selling, customer service, knowing different CRM systems and lastly the appreciation of interacting with unfamiliar people (doing the cold calling). This learning process makes us more confident and assured of the skills that we gain through our daily encounter with client or prospects as well as internal goals that needs to be considered and meet.

The experience which I have gain mostly from IT firms, recruitment/staffing companies and real estate is doing business development/inside sales. When i was with an IT firm we started doing marketing research and events in the US, Europe, Middle east and the Asia pacific region; this was mainly to attract our target market and be able to introduce the brand to the niche market. The task that we do daily would be contact list building/lead generation (finding names email address of CEO and other C Level positions, Presidents, VP's and Directors), cold calling, market research, events planning, webinars and after sales. It has given me the opportunity to learn other facets of the business like doing project management and a little of trouble shooting. The variety of tasks and opportunity would somehow present unknowingly due to the unexpected changes in the company’s direction and structure (which for me is a positive outcome) which us to be more flexible and somewhat of a hybrid in our assigned task and position. For the recruitment/staffing firm the role was a different experience since you are selling a service and it would entail a more aggressive approach since the competition is more rigid and branding is the ultimate consideration. We have to engage with prospects in a more innovate way and be mindful of the flexible fee that we need to present. So we need to adopt, be flexible, gain trust, build a lasting relationship and make it a long term venture with Enterprise clients. In all of the industry that i have worked for i usually adopt or embrace the best practices the companies have taught me and make use of it for my own personal gain and share it to others as well.

In our journey in each of the companies that we have worked for learning new and better things are inevitable, it is more on how you will make use of all the learnings that you have gain through the years. But for me it's just your dedication, respect for people and perseverance that would sustain us in our chosen field of interest since now a day our skills can be developed by continuous training and self- learning (Google and YouTube University) "
