"I worked at Cardinal Health International as a Customer Service Operations since February 2018. I've been thru different accounts starting from Prior Authorization wherein I have to follow up the Authorization request of the patient that are purchasing DME(Durable Medical Equipment ex: Breastpump, Glucose supplies) so that the Health Insurance will cover the patients' payables. Outbound calls and faxing of Authorization requests via different Health Insurance portals is the task I had on this account.
I am also cross-trained to different segments as part of the transition:
1. Breast Pump Follow-up Team: Sending faxes and also follow-up calls to doctor's offices regarding patients' records.
2. Insurance Verification Team: Outbound calls thru Health Insurance to verify patient's benefits and eligibility as well as checking Health Insurance portals if a record of the patient is available.
After the cross-training. I've been transitioned to a Pioneer Account called RCM (Revenue Cycle Management). I have to make sure that the patients' payables and their Health Insurance coverage match with the data we have. Any misleading or inaccurate data or collections should be corrected.
And so the RCM Team grows, giving us additional new accounts, for the last account I am with Cardinal Health is the Medicare CGM (Continues Glucose Monitoring) Account wherein I do outbound calls to Doctors'offices to follow up patients Diabetic Last Date Seen and ask for clinical records on the Date of Service that the patient purchased DME to us. I also do voicemail and faxing Clinical Note Request on Doctors' offices."
