"I started my call center career in 2008 after leaving my banking job. As a mother, I prefer to do a home-based job because it gives me more time to manage my job and family. I've worked as a Customer Service Representative & also handled other posts like email support and sales for different call centers here in the Philippines for more than 10 years, and doing home-based jobs for more than a year now.
Before I found a home-based job I worked as a Customer Service Advocate at United Health Group located in McKinley, Taguig. The process was COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) which is health insurance provided to unemployed citizens in the U.S. The department I belonged to was the Billing and General Information Department. Basically, we help customers who have questions about COBRA, process their premium payments and update their coverage. It was the most difficult job I handled because of the problems our customers encounter with their unposted payments and benefits that are not updated. I left the company because I decided to work from home which was more favorable for me and my son.
I landed a job as a Product Lister for Amazon. It was a third-party client. Our job was to post items from different establishments like Walmart, Fragrance.com, and others to Amazon and make sure that items match exactly when posted to Amazon’s website. It was fun doing something new but then the client stopped the operations because he can no longer fund the account.
I transferred to Transparent BPO which was also a home-based job. The company has several accounts and I was assigned to do sales calls for Medicare Insurance. I worked as an Appointment Setter and my main duty was to verify the leads’ information and transfer the call to a licensed insurance agent if they are interested to get additional Medicare benefits. It was fun and at the same time challenging when it comes to reaching the sales quota every day.
I decided to move to Inmate Calls Solutions which was previously an account in my previous job. The Sales Team is responsible for calling customers who signed up for the program but have not paid for the registration. We give them the details on how to use the program then help them enroll in their preferred plan.
I’m now looking for a stable job so I can support my son and my father. I believe that my strong customer service skills and experience make me a highly competitive candidate for this position. Aside from that, I am also dedicated and passionate about doing my job for I have a good track record of attendance and performance.''
