“My name is Ma Roja Sablayan, 41 years old and I have 16 years of experience in the BPO industry. I started as an outbound agent for a well-known credit card company where my job was mainly calling customers to encourage them to activate the credit cards they were sent. I also have 2 years of experience as an outbound agent for a credit reporting agency where we were tasked to interview decision makers of businesses so we can create credit reports for our clients. The rest of the 13 years was in customer service where I started as an agent then I got promoted after 6 months and became a Training Assistant then I became a Trainer and the last post I held was as a Senior Trainer. My role as a Senior Trainer was to manage the entire Training Department by creating schedules, overseeing tasks and coordinating with other departments to ensure success and completion of projects.
I am goal oriented and I maximize the resources I am given to ensure that the goals assigned to me are met. I organize my work by creating a checklist and categorizing according to importance and urgency. I enjoy the process that goes into completion of a project from inception of ideas to execution then evaluation. I understand the importance of effective communication to guarantee that each member of the team will be successful in their given tasks. I am a team player as I maintain the pleasantness of my work relations while safeguarding completion of my tasks.
Since the pandemic, the world has shifted to the virtual world. Now more than ever, effective communication is especially essential and this is realized when we recognize that each member of the team is a valuable resource to help the organization or business achieve its goals. This is why, knowing the tools is half the battle, maximizing them with emphasis on effective communication makes this a skill tremendously valuable and I’d like to think I have achieved this balance.''
